The Means
Men become men in the company of men and bonds are created when we
do things together. That, quite simply, is the purpose of the
Brotherhood. Events... Events may include attending games together, men's breakfasts, going to the races, fishing/ hunting outings, a yearly mission trip, campouts, father-daughter banquet, and conferences. Mens's Fraternity... allows men the opportunity to get connected with men who have the same goals in mind. Men's Fraternity is a series of three one-year-long studies, beginning with The Quest for Authentic Manhood, followed by Winning at Work and Home, and ends with The Great Adventure. Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God. Service Ministry... allows men to serve the Lord throughout the year by helping people in our church and in our community. Opportunities to help single parent moms and senior adults with repairs, maintenance, and one-time jobs, raking leaves, lawn mowing, helping with simple repairs and construction are services that men of the Brotherhood can offer. Prison/ Jail Ministry... is an encouraging time for men to minister in the jails and prisons to witness and share their faith with inmates. Prayer Groups... as men pray together they grow stronger and unleash the power of Almighty God. Men will unite to pray for our church, our pastor, staff, Sunday services, the lost, and any other special emphasis. These groups meet at various times throughout the week. Ministry Day… once a quarter– we combine a light breakfast, prayer, two hours of work around the church, lunch and an inspirational devotional. We start at 9:07 a.m. with coffee, a light breakfast, prayer, and work assignments. At 11:27 a.m. lunch is served, at 11:52 a.m. our program begins and ends at 12:22 p.m. Our program consists of a timely topic such as “Men As Spiritual Leaders of their home”, “Deepening Your Prayer Life” and testimonies of men who have given their lives to Christ. Come join us for a time of meaningful fellowship and providing help in completing the many projects to keep God’s house the best we can make it. “Sons of Daniel”… The Sons of Daniel Ministry will provide guidance to young men in the 2nd through the 12th grades, as they move through their years of adolescence. We seek to give them godly principles of manhood in hopes of providing a successful transition into adulthood. |
